Sadie Pires is the Scholarship Project Manager with the Education Department! Sadie Pires is a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and a proud New Englander having been raised in the Southeast Connecticut and Rhode Island areas. She has worked closely with the Education Department throughout childhood and has received a degree in Accounting for her love of math and organizing numbers. Her previous position as the Project Coordinator for the Primary Prevention Project was the experience she needed in order to recognize her love of working with the youth in our tribal community and assisting our youth in pursuing great opportunities! Sadie loves reading, the outdoors especially the beach and the ocean, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family playing board games.
Services
- Assists students and parents with the Scholarship Portal and application process for the Scholarship Program
- Manages the Scholarship Portal by revising templates and processing applications
- Oversees Scholarship Program funds by managing payments to schools and tracking Repayment Plans in partnership with the Finance Department
- Works with schools to assist in gathering Scholarship information and documents for students
- Advises the Education Director on the needs of the Scholarship Program
