
Mystic Aquarium and the University of Connecticut are offering a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program where students can spend 10 weeks during the summer conducting research on how global change, such as pollution and climate change, affects marine organisms and their ecosystems.
Participants will gain field and laboratory research experience, professional development training, one-on-one mentoring with marine science experts, job shadowing opportunities, and exposure to a variety of marine science career paths. The program includes a stipend, room and board, and travel support.
The program runs June 1st – August 7th 2026.
