Our Portal & Guidelines

Scholarship Program Eligibility

Enrolled Tribal Member

Student must be an enrolled member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation with a Tribal ID number to be eligible for Scholarship funding.

Submit Required Materials

Student must submit all required documents for the program in which they are applying.

Comply with Scholarship Guidelines

Student must be in compliance with all Scholarship Guidelines.

Comply with Academic Success Plans

Student must comply with any Academic Success Plans put in place by the Education Department.

Complete Application

Student must complete a Scholarship application through the Scholarship Portal. Payments cannot be processed until this step is complete.

Submit Progress and Final Report Cards or Transcripts

Student must submit all progress reports through the year as well as an end-of-year report card (K-PG) or end-of-term transcript (Higher Ed) or school-specific reporting documentation.

Comply with Repayment Plan

Student must not have more than one Repayment Plan and must be up-to-date on making payments towards said plan.

Only enrolled Tribal Members with Tribal Identification numbers disseminated by the MPTN Tribal Clerk’s Office are eligible for Scholarship Programs. However, the MPTN Education Department offers some programs for students without this credential, so please contact the Department with any questions you may have.

In a nutshell, students interested in applying for the MPTN Education Scholarship must obtain admission into a school or academic program then complete the online application process with the Education Department. For assistance, please reach out to [email protected].
