Behavior Intervention

Welcome to the Behavior Intervention Resource hub

Our mission is to promote positive behavior and improve student outcomes through evidence-based strategies, inclusive practices, and collaborative support.

Here, families can access tools, guidance, and training to implement effective interventions that foster safe, respectful, and engaging learning environments.

What Does a Behavior Interventionist Do?

A Behavior Interventionist works with students who exhibit challenging behaviors that interfere with learning, social interaction, or school functioning.

Their main goal is to help students develop positive behaviors and reduce behaviors that may be disruptive or unsafe. At MPTN, our Behavior Interventionist can work directly with school-age students, families, and even educators to help students learn better ways to cope, behave, and succeed – both in school and in life. Our interventionist also provides preventative supports to help families before behaviors occur! These supports include but are not limited to; establishment of routines, information about the impacts of trauma, goal setting, coping skills, and more.
