Without good curriculum, students will not learn. The MPTN Education Department recognizes that it is challenging to find good lesson materials, and that teachers are very busy. We invite you to use this page as a resource in building your curriculum library so that all of your students can better understand the important role of Indigenous peoples in our modern society and in history.
Not all resources are made equal.
When determining which materials to use in your class, focus on centering the voices of Indigenous peoples and consider using non-text sources like oral histories, belongings (artifacts) and art. Additionally, consider the structure of your physical classroom as well as the structure of lesson activities, focusing on collective learning and sense-making as much as possible.
Help the Education Department understand the needs and desires of the community by completing this form for EACH member of your family!
