Ashley Adams joined the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation as the Behavioral Intervention Specialist in July of 2022. She has since been proud to support the community across multiple settings; including, within schools, recreation programming, the Child Development Center, and Tribal family homes. Ashley received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Central Connecticut State University, and her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, Physical Education and Health from Eastern Connecticut State University. Prior to her current role, Ashley taught for a non-profit, clinical, Special Education school in New Britain that specializes in trauma informed care. Her hands-on experiences make her adept at tailoring supports to the unique needs of individuals, regardless of their age. She believes that through a combination of empathy, creativity, and commitment to best practices, that any team can come together to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can achieve their full potential. When she is not working, Ashley volunteers her time coaching volleyball for Ledyard Public Schools and supporting the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce at local events.
